The rent for this property is currently £800 per calendar month which would give a yield of 5%. Landlords need to be aware of the £6500 stamp duty they will be paying but at least they’ll be safe in the knowledge that there will be no shortage of demand from tenants. Just a short walk from a No.10 Fastway bus stop gives easy access to Gatwick and the M23 junction at Pease Pottage is a few minutes drive for any tenant that commutes.
What I found most interesting is the £180,000 asking price is 9% higher than the actual sold price of a similar maisonette that sold only a year ago in the same development.
